Okay, I have been out of the dA loop for...a few months now really.

Writing has been going slowly. Creating has been going slowly in general.

Because I am so bogged down with work, studies, dance, yaddah, yaddah I've been pretty busy. And I will remain so. BUT! I will be starting to clean up my gallery and move my things into a new account. This might give me some freshness, or might move my stale flavors around, but we shall see.

I am hoping my watchers will move with me, despite the demise of the dancing panda in the future!

Happy Holidays!

Happy holidays, dA! Hope you are all having a good time (:

As most of you know, yesterday was Christmas, and what a Christmas it was! My presents were as follows:

A lovely Swarovski crystal necklace.
A Intuos.3 pen tablet (9x12) by Wacom.

First of all, that necklace is really pretty. Second, that tablet is HUGE. I was expecting some teeny tiny thing, at most a Bamboo model (also from Wacom). Now that I have a tablet, I have been considering putting up several things on here. Drawings and paintings are a given, but what about handwriting my poetry? Now this isn't something really special for me, since I always put my poetry to paper first, before typing it up on here, and illegible as it is, I love my handwriting. For those of you who aren't familiar with my scrawl: vivaciousbodacious.deviantart.…

Now, of course I would but the typed-out and legible translation, but what do you guys think?

Also, if I don't decide to write out the whole poem, I would think writing the titles in calligraphy would be a nice touch, hm?

Well dA, tell me what you think, and how were your holidays? (:

These are my unfinished projects:

1. writing a piece of poetry or prose about a mummy; the plot is a secret!

2. write a poem for WickedlyLoquacious contest and prompts.

3. rewrite The Liar and the Dead : vivaciousbodacious.deviantart.…

4. start working on the 100 theme challenge again.

NOW NAG ME INCESSANTLY.
I MEAN IT. GO. NOW. NAG.

And don't just nag me here, nag me EVERYWHERE.

Thanks : D

Wicked~!

Well I've just received my second honor from the group WickedlyLoquacious so I think it's about time I gave some recognition to them!

There's always something going on at WickedlyLoquacious, from the monthly poetry contest and the monthly writing prompts to the wicked pick of the week and the lively chat, all poetry writers who enjoy their art should drop by and have a look!

And in case you are curious, I've been honored with the second Wicked Pick of the Week (thanks to Broken-Poet) and I won September's poetry contest with vivaciousbodacious.deviantart.….
Be sure to be waiting for a "Pop Culture II" because I am intent on rewriting my winning draft!

Thanks a bunch you guys! :D

Well, I have writer's block, once again.
This has forced me to pursue my many other hobbies and interests to kill time until school begins once again.
Oh joy.
Anyway, something I recently got back into was my crochet, and more specifically, amigurumi dolls. I've been crocheting since I was about eight, but I only learned of these lovely dolls about two years ago. I love these things.

Amigurumi are Japanese dolls, usually crocheted but knitted on occasion. The word comes from the combination of amu* and nuigurumi**. The word is a very recent term. One of the most prevalent characteristics of these dolls is their large heads and small bodies and their kawaii-ness***.

For those who crochet, amigurumi are always worked in the round, without joining, and very well stuffed. Stitches must be tight to hold in the stuffing, no lining involved. The best thing about these guys is that they're not very structured and after a while you'll be able to make them without following a pattern! :3

Note to the music:
I really love Emma Shapplin.
Her combination of opera and modern styles is just amazing. Not to mention the lovely voice.

* a form of the word that means to crochet/knit
** a regular stuffed toy. Composed of the words nuu[to sew] and kurumu [meaning "to wrap, to encase [in fabric, paper, etc.]
***kawaii means "cute" in Japanese.
